Meet our Director

Kidan Araya is a global stakeholder engagement, policy, and communications strategist with over 15 years of experience working across the United States, Europe, and Africa on stakeholder and communication strategies related to clean energy, conservation, and technology projects.

Across projects, she repeatedly observed the same challenge: projects rarely struggled because of the technology or funding gaps. They struggled because organizations underestimated the human environment shaping project outcomes. Pacific Africa was created to help bridge that gap.

She has advised senior leaders at government agencies, philanthropic organizations, and private companies on climate, nature, and tech policy issues. She was called to testify in front of the U.S. Congress to speak on community experiences related to natural resource governance. Read more here on her professional experience.
